The Find The Nearest search is focused around a single point on the map (the focal point).
This focal point is the centre point of the map view window and is indicated on the map view window by the point at which the vertical and
horizontal black lines cross each other (the crosshair intersection).
The Find The Nearest search facility requires you to set this map focal point as one of the search options before
you submit your search. There are two ways that you can do this.
These are ...
- Type an address into the Address input field in the Map Controls panel. The search facility will look for the address you type in
and use its map coordinates as the focal point coordinates when you submit the search. If the address can't be found you will be informed.
... OR
- Drag the map within the map view window until the focal point you want is lined up with the crosshairs intersection. You will see
the coordinates of the focal point (the map centre) displayed in the Map Control panel on the right when you release the mouse button
at the end of your drag movement.
Then you just need to select the Service Type from the Service Types dropdown menu and click the Go button.
